How to bid?

We offer many opportunities to participate in our auctions:

As a bidder, absentee bidder, telephone bidder or as a LIVE bidder.
You will find our terms and conditions below.

Bidder with a bid card in the hall

Participation is only permitted with a bid card, which you will receive at the reception upon presentation of your identity card. This must be kept until the end of the auction. Please return your bid card after the auction ends.
You can go to the reception as soon as you have bought the lots you are interested in. After returning your bidder number you will receive your invoice. The invoice has to be paid immediately in cash or with an EC card.

The written bid

Complete the “Auction order” form, which you can find in the catalogue and on our homepage. Please send the form to us by letter, fax or email. Absentee bids must be received by us at the latest 12:00 am on Wednesday before the auction, so we can take them into account.
Written bids are treated strictly discretionary.
We only use your written bids to exceed someone else's highest bid by exactly one rate of increase. Therefore it can happen that you receive the lot far below your bid. For example, if you bid 351 EUR, but the second highest bid is only 200 EUR, you will win the lot for 220 EUR.

The telephone bid

In order to be able to participate actively at our auction from home or everywhere, you have the option of telephone bidding. You should inform us about the positions you would like to bid by telephone at an early stage. Fill in your address, the catalogue number and a “T” for telephone bidding in the form “Auction order” and leave the “Bid to Euro” fields blank. Don’t forget to provide your telephone number you can be reached on the day of the auction. Shortly before the lot will be auctioned we will call you. Lots which have been auctioned by telephone are treated as written bids (invoice, shipping…).
